Launch and Thrive. Awakening the Networks
What is Launch & Thrive?
Inspired by ecovillage networks in Ghana and Ukraine, The Launch & Thrive project, funded by the Erasmus+ scheme, has been devised to discover how we can support new and inactive National Networks, exchanging best practice and mutual learning between networks. While our focus is on ecovillage networks, we believe our learnings will provide valuable inputs for community networks of any kind.
Partners from Germany, Spain, Ukraine, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark and the Baltic Ecovillage Network are taking part in the project, to share best practice (such as the lessons from rapid growth and success of GEN Ukraine) and strengthen their own networks.
Partners
Who are the project’s target groups?
Board members and active national ecovillage networks, who can offer their expertise and participate.
Initiators of new national ecovillage networks who are not yet consolidated and can contribute with their immediate needs as they are in the process of forming and shaping their initiatives.
The long term and secondary target group are all the national networks that still do not exist or need assistance to thrive but are not part of this project.
And networks, activist groups and citizen initiatives beyond the scope of ecovillages, who are in line with the ecovillage movements values.

What are the project outputs?
Besides the learning and exchange that has happened between the national networks through their participation in the project, we have created resources for use by all existing, new, and potential national networks:
- A manual for setting up thriving and functional national networks (coming soon)
- An exchange between national networks: Spain-Sweden and Denmark-Ukraine
- An IT toolbox
- An online learning package
- A series of videos highlighting the challenges, learnings and best practices of participating national networks
