More than 250 people from all over the Ukraine are finding accommodation in the ecovillage Busha Toloka in Vinnytsia region (Ukraine) This people deciced to stay here because they have no place to go: they lost their houses or they cannot go back home because of military actions in their regions.
At the moment, they live in the ecovillage in summer houses and in the homes of the members of the community. These people have to stay somewhere in winter as well and therefore the community decided to build a common house in which they will be able to spend the winter with heating and water facilitation inside.
After the war, this building will be used by the community for GEN Ukraine gathering, for festivals and as some common space for the community. It will always be an open space where people can come and are welcomed.
For the construction of this building around 250 000 Euro (budget) are required and some expertise and voluntary work. It will be a straw-ball-house construction of 345 m2 basis and two floors for about 100 people to stay during winter.
The work will start in the middle of August and the construction has to be done until the middle of November. Therefore, donations and funding are required.
