Ecovillages welcome people for temporary accommodation

Due to the critical situation with heating, water, and electricity supply in cities, the network of ecovillages is opening its common spaces for temporary shelter.
These are not state shelters, but living communities with their own rules, customs, and responsibilities.
Please carefully read the conditions for each location.

KYIV REGION

Ecovillage 'Radaria' (Kukhari village)

For residents of Kyiv who are currently without heating.

Conditions:

  • Heating: wood-burning stove (you need to keep it burning yourself)
  • Wood supply — for ~2 weeks (further purchases required)
  • 2 heated rooms, up to 6 beds
  • Bedding, blankets, pillows — available
  • Internet — if electricity is available
  • Water from a well
  • Outdoor toilet
  • No shower or hot water


Kitchen (separate building):

  • Gas and electric stove
  • Possibility to cook on the stove
  • Full set of cooking utensils

Important:
It’s a community space. We invite people without unhealthy habits who value good relationships and nature.

Financial conditions:

  • Internet — 300 UAH
  • Firewood — ~2000 UAH
  • Accommodation — donation

(all income goes for covering gas and electricity)

Logistics:

  • 80 km to Kyiv
  • A car is desirable
  • Shop — 1.5 km
  • Highway — 10 km
  • Electric train — 15 km

ZHYTOMYR REGION

Ecovillage of family estates 'Omelianivka'

Format:
Temporary accommodation for 1–2 families during the cold season
(approximately till March 15–April 1)

Conditions:

  • Two-story common house (110 m²)
  • Stove heating (firewood available for ~2 weeks)
  • 8–10 beds
  • Shower cabin, sink
  • Water in the house, 50-liter boiler
  • Outdoor toilet
  • Gas stove, possibility to cook on the stove
  • Wi-Fi (320 UAH/month)
  • Electricity ~15 hours/day
  • Power station 2 kW

Environment:

  • Forest, quiet region
  • Closest town — 25 km
  • Shop and electric train — 10 km
  • There are shared trains to the town



Important:
No alcohol, smoking, or swearing
Shared living with other people is possible
Recommended contribution:
from 1500 UAH/month per adult

Ecovillage 'Space of Love'

The ecovillage ‘Space of Love’ offers temporary accommodation in a common house (a two-room rural cottage) for 3–5 people.

Living conditions:

  • Stove heating. Residents heat the stove themselves according to the instructions.
  • Firewood can be purchased for an affordable price.
  • Some bedding and kitchen utensils are available.
  • Meals can be prepared on the stove; an electric stove can be installed if necessary.
  • Sanitary facilities are located in the yard.
  • Water is available from the neighbors’ well.
  • Check-in is possible within 3–5 days after the house is prepared.


The payment includes:
electricity costs;
a voluntary contribution (donation) for the development of the community.

Logistics and infrastructure:

  • The nearest regional center with full infrastructure is 30 km away.
  • Bus stop — 3 km (Kyiv–Chop highway).
  • There is a store in the village.
  • The village has farms and a community of residents who practice mutual assistance.
  • Local residents can provide food or support (the village is located ~1 km from the house).

    Important:
  • Priority is given to families with children who are considering long-term residence and integration into the community.
  • By prior agreement, accommodation in houses of the local community is also possible.

'Happy People' community

Verkhniy Byshkin village

Format:
Temporary or long-term accommodation with the possibility of integration into the community.

Conditions:

  • 2 rural houses
  • Stove heating (you heat yourself)
  • Beds with bedding
  • Water from a well
  • Outdoor toilet
  • No shower or hot water
  • Mobile internet (works for ~5 hours after power outages)

Financially:

  • Firewood: ~2–3 thousand UAH/month (shared)
  • Electricity
  • Food — on your own
  • Accommodation — donation to improve conditions



Logistics:

  • Store — 10 km
  • Bus to Zlatopol twice a week
  • Electric train to Kharkiv, Lozova, Dnipro

  • 1500 UAH/month (possible from the second month)
  • Additionally:
  • In spring — opportunity to work in the garden and orchard (if desired)

TRANSCARPATHIAN REGION

Dzin Space

Kryvopilya village, Ivano-Frankivsk region
We welcome people for temporary accommodation.
We can accommodate up to 2 people.

Living conditions:

  • Heating — firewood (available)
  • Electricity — available
  • Internet — available
  • Bedding — available
  • Drinking water — available
  • For cooking — gas burners

Logistics:

  • 15 min walk to the highway
  • Near the bus stop — 2 village shops
  • 15 min by minibus to the nearest town (market, shops, supermarkets)
  • Minibuses — every hour
