From Crisis to Rebirth: Over 60 Ukrainian settlements are reviving villages, regenerating the land, restoring the environment, and rebuilding communities.
Our Mission: To unite and promote the development of ecovillages and other sustainable communities in Ukraine to spread environmental values and the philosophy of conscious living in society.

The Green Road of Ecovillages
Since February 2022, the primary project of GEN Ukraine has been “The Green Road of Ecovillages” — a network of shelters for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in rural areas. From the project’s inception to the present, approximately 3,000 people have passed through our locations. The project has gone through several stages and continues to evolve and develop.

In 2023, we celebrated our 5th anniversary!
On February 10-11, 2024, Lviv hosted the official celebration of the first anniversary of the NGO “Global Ecovillage Network Ukraine” and the cooperation between the Ukrainian and Danish ecovillage networks. The event was attended by activists, representatives of ecovillages, communities, and projects related to and supportive of our activities. We shared what has been achieved, the projects that have been implemented, and our plans for the future.
